Interiors of the G500 are plush and complemented by burl walnut interior trim. It comes with the standard power windows and locks and also heated power seats. It also has a GPS navigation system and the Mercedes Benz Telemetric aid system which is infact emergency and anti theft system. G500 does not offer any options other than choice of interior and exterior colors and and a installed hand's free phone with the electronic voice recognition. This is a good driver friendly vehicle with a good stereo and a satellite linked navigation system. There are good amounts of leather and wood inside the vehicle for the décor.
It is adapted from the S-class sedan engine and SL class roadster all aluminum 5.0 liter V8 gives 300 hp and 300 pounds torque. Each of the engines has three valves and a twin spark ignition mechanism. Five speed automatic transmission sends the required power to all the four drives with low range which is fully adapted to "shift and fly" operation on 15 mph. Mercedes lattés skid control system, called ESP is also installed. The power output of the car is very strong at 292 hp which is fed through five speed automatic transmission system. The four wheel drive is regularly engaged with high and low gear as also the front center locking sides. Antilock brakes in the car have a Brake assist mechanism for the full power panic stops. Electronic brake-force distribution increases the vehicles stability when brakes are applied on the curves.
In Germany, the 211HP G 350 BlueTEC “BA3 Final Edition” is priced at €90,511 ($134,500), while the 388HP G 500 version costs €100,686 ($149,600).
Moving onto Merc’s second special G-Class, the long-wheelbase “Edition Select” package is offered exclusively on the V8-powered G500. It comes in a two-tone paintwork, with the bumpers, AMG side flaps and exterior mirrors finished in obsidian black metallic. The stainless-steel running boards and spare wheel cover, together with the black 18-inch alloy-wheels add further contrast to the rugged 4x4’s body. Other exterior elements include the carbon-fiber inserts on the protective strips, underbody protection and an AMG sports exhaust system.

Mercedes-Benz have vividly recognized how this car is going to be used and the SLS is available with common functions to cater every day usability like satellite navigation and also a more than decent stereo. However the gull-wings, as iconic as they're, certainly make it a pain to get in and out of the car, even make the vehicle quite wide and you really have to stretch to actually pull the doors down once you're inside.
The gearbox is a dual clutched affair which works notably well. There's a slight delay whenever you flick the paddles yet in general it feels very responsive and sharp. The car is quite definitely rear wheel drive. The seating position is very back and harks back to old school, honest GT's and blended with the sharp steering you've whole faith in exactly where the front of the vehicle is gonna go. This super car can easily go round edges very, very quick - in case you try hard enough you could actually compete with a four-wheel drive 911 Turbo. It's also really quick in a straight line - indeed outstanding for a heavy, front engined Grand Tourer.
Looking at value for cash - can any car at this selling price be regarded as fair value? Probably not but put along with its peers it is well priced. Let's look at it one other way - against the Mercedes McLaren SLR, the Mercedes SLS is quicker, handles better and is less costly to the tune of nearly 200,000 dollars.
Mercedes has a state-of-the-art supercar named the Mercedes SLS. With starting prices of around 180,000 bucks it's priced to directly compete with the likes of Ferrari, Porsche and of course Aston Martin. Besides all the distinctive overall performance comparisons there's one factor the super car has that the other ones don't - the gullwing Mercedes is back.
Entertainment: well, there is a 6.2 litre engine located in the front offering a rumble to match nearly anything to leave Detroit. With over 550 horse power the Mercedes SLS is an enjoyable drive even if the handling was a little poor. It is poised, dexterous and although its feels pretty stiff on the roads the actual combination of engine of handling offers a wonderful drive. The Mercedes SLS GT3 - which is the sports version - caters even greater handling.

Innovation continues to be the Mercedes-Benz. The German giant manufacturer decided to integrate kekuatab V6 diesel engine that carried the model S350 BlueTEC with ECO function Start / Stop. The result is a luxury saloon fuel consumption decreased to 6.2 liters / 100 km. Not only that, the S 350 BlueTEC also acclaimed as one of the cleanest emission diesel models in the world.
ECO Function Start / Stop which is now a standard tool helps the efficiency of the S-Class is up to 9% compared to previous models with CO2 emissions of 164 g / km (previously 177 g / km).
ECO System Start / Stop, developed by Mercedes-Benz engine will turn off automatically when the car is at rest, such as time at a red light. Machine will then immediately turn on when the driver lifted the foot from the brake pedal. "Thanks to the intelligent control system, all vehicle functions and comfort systems capable of continuous operation when the engine stopped," wrote these pages.
Increased efficiency can also be achieved after coating technology Twas (Twin-Wire-Arc-Sprayed) applied. AMG Twas coating technology has been used since 2005 in the 6.3-liter V8 engine belongs to all model series. Includes SLS AMG. Based on the positive feedback obtained, Mercedes-Benz follow-up develop this technology for the diesel engine which is currently introduced in V6 diesel engine
